Asciano tender win

IPAR has been successful in gaining an ongoing Tender with Asciano.

Asciano are a National based employer ( Self Insured -Comcare and Worker Comp Insurer) who look after Rail and Freight related services. They have recently expanded to include Patrick Stevedores.

Thanks go to the IPAR staff who are currently working on Asciano for their great work and we look forward to broadening our ongoing working relationship.

IPAR celebrates 10 years

In 2003 IPAR began with a small office in Melbourne and a big idea! Ten years later we are a company of over 175 staff with 15 branches across 5 states and a flourishing list of diverse customers.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to both our staff and customer base who have assisted IPAR in becoming the success that it has over the past ten years. We will continue to work hard to make the next ten years just as successful.

IPAR and Allianz – The Partnership Continues

This panel reappointment is in recognition of our outstanding service delivery and outcomes.

Ben O’Neill, NSW State Manager, stated “we have continued to develop and maintain an excellent partnership with Allianz and worked extremely diligently to demonstrate that we truly understand what our customers need and how effective we are in providing those services.”

New Wollongong Office Opens

NOL-wollongong-150-x-150-pxIPAR’s expansion in New South Wales continues with the opening of our first Wollongong office. Located at the Synergy Business Centre, Level 1, 1 Burelli Street, IPAR Wollongong will be providing return to work and injury prevention services to the Wollongong and south coast area.

The addition of the Wollongong office takes our New South Wales office network to a total of nine.

Suzanne Gibson (Branch Manager Sydney/Wollongong) stated “it is wonderful to be able to add Wollongong to our NSW footprint, as it has been flagged for a few years at our Management Conference as being one of our geographic expansion priorities”.

IPARian Drafted in Inaugural AFL Women’s Game

image005Melissa Hickey, Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist from IPAR Melbourne, has been selected for the Inaugural AFL Women’s Game 2013.

Over 250 women aged 17 and above were nominated in the draft held on 15 May. Melissa was selected at pick 11, placing her amongst the 50 most elite players nationally. Melissa will be playing for the Melbourne Demons in a game against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday June 29th at the MCG.

Melissa has played AFL for 5 years, currently playing for Darebin Falcons in the position of Centre Half Back. We wish Melissa all the very best for June 29th – plenty of her IPAR workmates will be there to cheer her on!

CGU NSW Expands IPAR’s Coverage

CGU-150-x-150-pxWe are very pleased to announce that after a recent review of their Network Service Provider arrangements, CGU has significantly expanded the services provided and the geographies covered by IPAR to their NSW workers compensation business.

NSW State Manager, Ben O’Neill stated “another panel win in NSW is further evidence of the great work our teams have been providing and in particular further evidence of the outstanding RTW results we have been producing. It is a great thing for the hard work of our guys to be rewarded like this.”

In the coming weeks we will be looking forward to announcing a number of new branch openings including Adelaide, Wollongong, Ballarat and Canberra which we hope will further cement our position as not only one of the best performing providers in the sector but one with the best geographic footprint.

Morwell Office Relocation

The office is located at 6 Tarwin Street, Morwell, Victoria 3840, phone (03) 5133 7950.

Our Morwell office is staffed by Senior Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, Jessica Huet (nee Sutherland), along with Chelsea Leyden-Duval from our OES team and Megan Mackenzie from our NES team.

Western Australian ARPA Award Winner

IMG_1037 g arpaGeorgia Mehan, Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant from IPAR Perth, has won the WA Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA) Award for Outstanding Consultant in the Same Employer Category.

A qualified Occupational Therapist, Georgia joined IPAR in December 2010, having had previous work experience in the areas of mental health, aged care and acute hospital settings (Emergency Department).

The WA ARPA Outstanding Consultant Award was measured on a combination of outcomes and employer / worker satisfaction. Another main reason behind Georgia’s nomination was her work with indigenous clients, mostly referred by DHS.

Congratulations on your outstanding work, Georgia! IPAR now has ARPA winners right across the country.

IPAR Reappointed to Panel

emllogo1IPAR has been notified by Employers Mutual that we have been successfully reappointed to their NSW Managed Fund and Treasury Managed Fund Rehabilitation panels.

This appointment comes after IPAR completed an abridged tender due to our existing relationship and excellent performance as a panel incumbent. This is a great reflection on the high level of work done by IPAR staff on EML cases.

IPAR will be one of 12 providers on the panel.

Hockeyroo Joins IPAR

Hockeyroos & Ausdrill Annoucement. International Field Hockey 2012 - Women. Perth, Western Australia. Perth Hockey Stadium, Perth. 27 March 2012IPAR is delighted to welcome to our ever-expanding team a member of the Australian Women’s Hockey team (‘The Hockeyroos’), Ashleigh Nelson.

Ashleigh, a qualified Occupational Therapist, has joined our Perth office as an Injury Management Consultant after previously working in extended rehabilitation with Aged Care and Stroke in a clinical and community setting.

Alongside her rehabilitation career, Ashleigh is a striker for the Hockeyroos, making her international debut in 2007. Since then, she has enjoyed a number of highlights, including a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal (Delhi) in 2010, being the Hockeyroos highest goal scorer in 2010 and being selected for and playing in the team for the 2012 London Olympics.

Ashleigh is looking forward to applying her dedication and team work to her Injury Management role with IPAR, expanding her skills and knowledge in a new area of Occupational Therapy.
