IPAR and the Work Health Group ready to support thousands more people with disability into jobs in Queensland

BRISBANE – The Work Health Group (trading as ‘IPAR Disability Employment Services’ in Queensland) has been chosen as a preferred provider to deliver Australian Government Disability Employment Services (DES) in Brisbane and regional Queensland, enabling the Group to support thousands more people with disability into employment each year.

CEO of the Work Health Group, David Sagar, said that, as of 1 July 2018, IPAR will deliver services across the Brisbane metropolitan area, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Cairns and Townsville – as well as continue to support clients through its existing Queensland offices in Strathpine, Fortitude Valley and Chermside.

“This significantly expands our geographic footprint. More importantly, it greatly increases our ability to support job seekers with disability, illness or injury, and we will continue to put them at the heart of what we do.

“The IPAR team works with job seekers and employers to get the right people into the right jobs. Their focus is on understanding each client, tailoring support to meet their goals. At the same time, our team gets to know local employers and their needs, placing great people and boosting businesses across Queensland.”

The Department of Social Services awarded the Work Health Group service providers (atWork Australia and IPAR Disability Employment Services) over 45 Employment Service Areas (ESAs), or regions of operation, as part of a national selection process.

“At the heart of what we do is the belief that employment transforms lives, not only the lives of individuals, also the lives of their family and friends and the communities they live in. This belief governs all that we do, and how we do it.

“Winning this work gives us the opportunity to build on our high performing services and deliver even better results for more people with disability and employers,” Mr Sagar said.

IPAR now enters a transition phase, where operations are set up to be ready on 1 July 2018. Existing job seekers will be fully supported to meet their goals throughout the transition phase. The new contracts run from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2023.
