Well Deserved Double Win at ARPA Awards

Representatives from IPAR’s Queensland team celebrate the national ARPA awards

We were delighted to see IPAR’s Tarryn Botha receive the Queensland Award for Exceptional Leadership at the 2019 Australian Rehabilitation Provider Association (ARPA) Excellence in Workplace Rehabilitation Awards, and then go on to win the National ARPA Exceptional Leadership Award too.

When Tarryn joined IPAR in 2017 she was leading a small vocational services team. Her commitment to quality service delivery, a seamless experience for all stakeholders, and industry leading return to work performance has seen that team more than triple in size. Tarryn’s supportive and collaborative leadership style has been consistently recognised by her team. Her staff regularly indicate that her leadership is a primary motivating factor, and an inspiration for them continuing to achieve the best they can for their clients.

Congratulations Tarryn on this very well-deserved win. To be voted most exceptional leader in the country by a group of industry representatives is a huge achievement. Special congratulations also to other IPAR finalists: Peta Siggers (finalist in the Queensland New Starter Award), and Georgia Williams (finalist for the National Same Employer Consultant Award).

Win at the West Australian ARPA Awards

Our team enjoyed a fantastic night at the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA) Western Australian 2019 Excellence in Workplace Rehabilitation Awards.

Congratulations to IPAR’s Georgia Williams who won for ‘Outstanding Consultant, Same Employer’. Georgia consistently achieves positive outcomes for clients facing the most complex barriers to their recovery and return to work. And with return to work rates always well above scheme average, she is an incredibly deserving winner of this award. Congratulations Georgia!

A particular congratulations to Rebecca Cowen, who won the award in the Best New Starter category.

Thank you to ARPA for hosting a great night celebrating with IPAR and industry colleages the important work being done by the Victorian workplace rehabilitation industry.

The Positivum health coaching booklet – a guide forward

Sydney: IPAR’s Positivum™ assessment and health coaching program won the Excellence and Innovation in Injury Management Award at the 2018 icare CASE Awards held in Sydney on Tuesday, 13th November.

The subsequent, tailored health coaching program then enables us to make the appropriate, early interventions to address barriers and help people recover and get back to being themselves.

Congratulations to Dorothy Frost, Group Manager – Research and Innovation, Dr Dianne Sheppard, Research Fellow, Monash University, and all those involved in the design, development and implementation of Positivum™ including all consultants across IPAR who have incorporated it into their service delivery. And huge thanks to our partners in research and development, in particular Monash University, The Behavioural Insights Team and MOO Marketing & Design.

Award Win for Contribution to the Health Benefits of Good Work

Georgina Lamb, IPAR National Manager – Business Development

Georgina Lamb, IPAR National Manager – Business Development, is the co-recipient of the HBGW Australian SSG Chair Award for Contribution to the HBGW Initiative along with Ms Simonie Fox, Group Strategy Specialist Rehab/Claims, AIA Australia.

The Award has been established by the HBGW Australian SSG Executive to acknowledge the enormous effort members devote through their involvement in the HBGW initiative. The 2017 recipients were nominated by their peers for significant and influential contribution.

An extract from the Award announcement:

Ms Lamb works tirelessly to support the HBGW Australian SSG communication agenda. She regularly brings innovative and creative ideas to improve understanding of the research underpinning the HBGW for those not yet involved. Her knowledge of the challenges faced by employers in delivering good work has influenced SSG forum speaker presentations and publications.

Of course, these individuals rely on the support of their organisation to give their time and expertise. We therefore take this opportunity to recognise AIA and IPAR leaders for supporting the inaugural winners.

IPAR a Finalist in Australian Insurance Industry Awards 2017

IPAR has been named a finalist in the category of ‘Service Provider to the Insurance Industry of the Year’ at the Australian Insurance Industry Awards, co-hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and Asia Insurance Review.

This is the 14th year of the awards which celebrate the broader insurance industry, its services and innovation. The Service Provider category in particular focuses on businesses that support the industry to be more effective in their day to day operations and improve the lives of the many customers they work with.

There were 106 submissions in this year’s awards (a record number) and IPAR is the only rehabilitation provider shortlisted in the service provider category.

IPAR’s submission focused on the work undertaken in improving client’s lives through the many health benefits of good work, while limiting the financial and social impact of injury and illness on clients and the insurance industry. IPAR’s Positivum assessment and health coaching program was cited as an example of innovation in return to work services and how IPAR is constantly seeking to address emerging trends with the latest best practices.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner, held on Thursday 31 August 2017.
