We are seeking qualified Allied Health Professionals (OTs, Rehabilitation Counsellors, Psychologists (fully registered or provisional) and Social Workers) to join our Veteran Support Services team and provide much-needed support to the veteran community.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will support veterans and their families on their unique recovery and return to wellbeing journey. You will tailor your allied health skills and approach to the needs and circumstances of every veteran, drawing on your exceptional problem-solving, communication, attention to detail and time management skills.

Roles of variety, interest and challenge

No day is the same when you are supporting veterans and their families.

You will be:

  • Supporting veterans and their families with complex psychological and physical diagnoses to return to wellbeing and, where medically appropriate, to return to work
  • Undertaking a variety of assessments to support veterans engage in appropriate services
  • Supporting veterans and their families to understand and engage with civilian medical treatments and community support activities
  • Assisting veteran clients who may be experiencing a crisis or need mental health support
  • Attending case conferences to support veteran clients
  • Providing psychoeducation and training to clients and employers
  • Supporting veteran partners to engage in job seeking activities and obtain employment
  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to ensure veterans and their families are supported and connected, such as government departments, Ex-Service Organisations, community programs, the NDIS and treating health practitioners
